I've been super excited lately to paint things against a black background - it makes colors pop like nobody's business!
The tricky part is getting the black even - I haven't managed to make a "painterly" black background look good yet. With this one I had to do another pass a few days later to even it out. Oh, and if anyone has any tips for photographing black paint while it's still wet, PLEASE let me know!
